ADALINE FALLING STAR by Mary Pope Osborne - Book Review #4

Adaline Falling Star (Scholastic Signature)Adaline Falling Star by Mary Pope Osborne

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Adaline falling star is about young girl who is born within a Native tribe. Her original Native name is falling star. She doesn't know that she is half white until she moves in with her evil realatives because her dad was half white. Her dad had moved away along time ago and her mom just passed. Once she moves in with them, they treat her less of all her other white sisters and relatives. They didn't even like her name because she is half indian and because it was too much as a native name so they change it to Adaline. They treat her so bad, they gave her leftover food, old clothes, and thought less of her just because she was different even though she was part of family. One day, Adaline can't take it anymore so she plans to escape to find her long lost father. I recommend you read this book It's AWESOME (:

(: Book review 3

The NotebookThe Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a really good book if your into suspence and romantic novels. Most people have seen the movie version of "The Notebook" but the novel version is a little different. This book is a about a couple that fall in love Allie and Noah. They get split up because she goes away to college and Noah gets drafted to fight in war. Noah rights her a letter everyday for a year explainig that he is a sorry for breaking up with her in the first place. Not knowing that Allie has moved on to another guy that she's engaged to, he goes back to find her. Long story short, Allie finds all the letters that her mother was hiding from her and relizes who she really loves. So therefore, she goes back to her town years later and her love with Noah is reunited. The only difference in the movie from the book is that Allie doesn't get alzheimers and the couple doesn't die. They live happliy ever after in the book.

This is a really good book, I wouldn't say it's better than the movie but it is very suspenceful and you'll get caught up in it fast!

Witch Child (Witch Child, #1)Witch Child by Celia Rees

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I actually found this book quite interesting. This non-fictional book is about a young girl about the age of 16 going through the time period when they had the Salem witch trails. The story takes a turn once they accuse her of being a witch. The towns people think that she and her whole family were brought up as witches. After they hang her grandmother, she is forced to live on her own in hiding. A young puritan lady takes care of her as they travel to escape. I do recommend you read this book because not only is it a great book, but it has a lot to do with our history because the Salem witch trials in Massachussets DID really happen. So if your the kind of person that likes history or likes non-fiction novels than I totally recommend this book for you! :)
